IVO DE JAGER / BIO

I am a writer and artist. While my art is self-taught, I graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with an MFA in Writing for Performance. I'm well-versed in writing for the stage, screen, and radio.

As a gay man with body issues, a shaky sense of national identity, and a hole in the heart, I grew up feeling alienated from my peers and found solace in media that featured themes and characters that made me feel less alone. 

 

I have three aims with my work:

• to find and refine my creative voice

• to communicate with other and make them feel understood

• to make some serious € and move to a valley in Iceland with seventeen rescue cats
